Of course! At Nadia’s Performance Studio, we teach recognised and structured dance and music syllabi; so after completing the set requirements, our students have the opportunity to advance to qualified teachers levels. And the entertainment industry in Australia is rapidly progressing, paving the way for more opportunity. We also work in association with TCM Agency, where our students can audition to be listed on their talent registry. http://www.tcmagency.com.au/ Whether you are in it just for fun or would like something a little more, Nadia’s Performance Studio has classes to suit all students!

Eisteddfods are dance and singing competitions where our students get to compete against students from other dancing schools. Only Troupe and Solo students participate in eisteddfods. Most eisteddfods are local, with the exception of the National Showcase Dance Championships that take place at the Gold Coast. Nadia’s Performance Studio will take place in this competition only every few years. Grooming is a big part of dance, so it is imperative that the correct costume be worn (including all accessories), stockings and neat and correct hair and make-up (sometimes wigs are worn to save you a lot of time!) Punctuality and attendance are essential and a full commitment must be given if you are in Troupes.

In the first week of classes, parents are very welcome to watch. But after this it is important that the students learn to be without their parents and listen to their teachers. Parents are welcome to stay in our waiting room or can drop-off/pick-up. We have an Open Day on the last day of Term, where parents are invited to watch their child in their classes. We ask that there be no filming or photography taken during classes, due to Child Protection Laws.

Yes! Solo/duo dancers may be asked to perform at our Presentation Party.

They are put into classes by age, but this may vary dependant on the student’s ability. Within the first few weeks of classes, the teachers will make their judgements on class placements.
